New review on In January 2013, Omega announced the Aqua Terra >15,000 Gauss, which is capable of withstanding a 15,000 gauss magnetic field (that's MRI machine-level stuff; your average refrigerator magnet is about 50 gauss). Also, 15,000 gauss is equivalent to 1.5 tesla, a more convenient unit for expressing very strong magnetic fields. The modern Aqua Terra is tested to 150 meters of water resistance and offers a defined sense of style thanks to the reflective blue dial, the applied nature of the OMEGA logo and trapezoidal hour markers, and the dial's horizontal lining meant to recall teak paneling found on the decks of luxury ocean liners. The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra is equipped with the Master Chronometer caliber 8900 movement, with Co-Axial escapement. The Co-Axial escapement ensures less friction (and less oil consumption) and prolongs the service interval. Caliber 8900 has a silicon balance spring, 60 hours of power reserve and rhodium plated finished bridges and rotor.
